Gran Turismo for Boys was going to be a racing game released for the PS2 in 2005, developed by series developer Polyphony Digital.
Plot and goal
It was going to be a spinoff of the series aimed at young boys (nevermind the fact that every Gran Turismo game gets an E rating from the ESRB.)
Why it was cancelled
The reasons are unknown.
Kazunori Yamauchi, the lead designer of the series, stated that he wanted to make "Gran Turismo for Boys" a feature within the PS3 game Gran Turismo 5. That never happened either.
Some of the features from this game may have ended up in the PSP Gran Turismo game, such as the “different cars in the showroom every two days” feature.
