Daikatana II was a game that was mentioned on an IGN article. During the troubled development cycle of the Daikatana game, Eidos decided to hire a outside developer, the now-defunct Human Head Studios, to make Daikatana II. It was going to be the sequel to Daikatana, and Daikatana II would have likely been the second installment of the franchise if it went on.

Other than the story, and other new features that the game was going to have, It's only known that the the game was going to use Epic Games' more advanced Unreal Engine (the first version of the Unreal Engine) at the time, instead of id Software' s Quake II engine which was outdated at the time, which the first game uses. However, the project had been scrapped for unknown reasons and was never mentioned again afterwards.
